With only 10 teams entered this year, Clean Air Week Commuter Challenge 2011 still managed to commute a total of 2,351 kilometers over five days.

For the past few weeks, the grades 5, 6 and 7 students at Kwaleen Traditional Elementary School have taken their learning to the outside.

From Canada Day celebrations in Boitanio Park to the Stampede Parade, a karaoke contest, street party, entertainment in the Let R’ Buck Saloon and the Stampede Barn Dance there will be lots of activities to keep people entertained between the 85th annual Williams Lake Stampede rodeo performances next week.

In such a technologically savvy and digital-entertainment-oriented world, kids often end up spending more time indoors than out, and parents have begun looking for positive solutions to what has recently been recognized as “nature deficiency.”
