Horsefly students dance around a traditional May Pole, covering it with pretty inter-woven pink and blue ribbons during the annual May Day celebrations held in Horsefly Saturday.

The planning for Canada Day Celebrations is well underway and the committee is working hard to bring Williams Lake a day filled with fun and laughter, says Canada Day committee co-chair Nancy Giesbrecht.

Canada is a great country. It ranks eighth in the United Nations Human Development Index, has a median after-tax family income of $63,000 and has weathered the recession far better than most countries.
