The Station House Gallery Society is gearing up for An Artful Night Out on Friday, May 10 with a trivia night, food, art auction and fun.

With Diane Toop, retired executive director leading the charge, the night will be in the somewhat intimate space of the Thompson Rivers University Williams lake cafe space, with catering being provided by Crystal Baba of Gecko Tree Catering. Thanks to Crust and Crumb’ generous donation of the kitchen space for the event, the “elevated pub food” menu will include delicious culinary adventures like limoncello chicken wings, flat breads and some cheesecake dessert.

“We had fun with this menu,” said Toop, noting there will be a cash bar available, as well as a designated driver to make sure everyone can get home safely.

The walls will be hung with blind bid art items, with patrons able to place bids into a box on a form, so no one knows what anyone else has bid. The items will have reserve prices.

In between trivia sets, which will include categories of art, music and food, there will also be a live auction as well.

During the night, the draw will also take place for the raffle draw prize for Gladys Wheatley’s hand-painted table and chairs, which have been on display at the Station House Gallery.

Toop said the event is only possible thanks to some great donations from artists and businesses in the community.

She said some tickets are still available for the event, and can be picked up for $25 at the Station House Gallery Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
