It’s the time of year golfers dream about — bringing out the sticks and hitting the links.

Although the outdoor soccer season has just begun in the lakecity, 13 girls from Columneetza already have numerous games under their belts thanks to a trip to Hawaii over Spring Break to compete in the 12th Annual Friendship Cup.

The 21st Annual Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo saw sellout crowds, for three consecutive days, flock to the Cariboo Memorial Complex.

The 21st Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo will feature hundreds of rodeo competitors at the Cariboo Memorial Complex Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Williams Lake gymnasts bounced into uncharted territory from March 11-13 when seven local high school students flipped onto the mats at the B.C. High School Provincial Gymnastics Championships in Delta.

It was a night of celebration last Saturday, March 9 at the Golden Phoenix restaurant as the Williams Lake Stampeders recognized players, executive, coaches and management for their contributions to the organization from throughout the season.

The Columneetza Cougars senior boys rugby team travelled to Kamloops last Sunday to take on the Norkam Saints in preparation for the upcoming seven-a-side provincial championships in Vancouver this weekend, April 16-17.

More than 100 people recently attended a fundraising dinner and silent auction for the B.C. Senior Games Society Zone 9 at the Williams Lake Seniors’ Activity Centre.
