Forty-five Blue Fins had their wrap up swim meet this weekend hosting a few swimmers from Quesnel and 15 swimmers from Prince George.

The meet was a showcase for the younger Fins to demonstrate their skills at the end of the season.

Head coach Chad Webb was impressed at the future of the club.

“We have a lot of young swimmers who are working hard and it showed this weekend,” Webb said. “Our club is very strong at our younger levels and it is great to see so many kids racing and having fun at our meet.”

Many of the club’s older swimmers did not compete during the weekend as 15 of them are preparing for a meet in Kamloops this weekend.

“This will be the last chance meet for any swimmers trying to achieve provincial times,” he said.

The Blue Fins will also be hosting summer swim camps during the first two weeks of July for any youth.
