The Williams Lake White Knights almost clawed back from a six-goal deficit Sunday in an exciting final at the Williams Lake Minor Hockey Association's Atom House Tournament.

The White Knights gave up six unanswered goals to start the game, however, nearly pulled off an incredible comeback in an 8-5 defeat to Prince George.

After going unbeaten in three games through the round robin to finish second in the 10-team tournament, the White Knights found themselves squaring off against the also undefeated Prince George Green Machine in the championship.

White Knights coach Willie Sellars, who co-coaches the team alongside Tyrel Lucas, said the team battled hard throughout the weekend to pull off some upset wins over two visiting teams from Kamloops.

Sellars, a goaltender himself for the Williams Lake Stampeders, credited the work of White Knights netminder Darian Louie for allowing the team to pickup some come-from-behind wins.

"He made some incredible saves all weekend," Sellars said. "He kept us in some of those games."

Picking up a hat trick in the final was White Knights forward Asher Lucas, while Cash Sellars and Noah Getz also picked up tallies in the final.
