The Williams Lake under-13 Storm girls rep team played hard late last month to finish third place in Kamloops.
In their first game they beat the Kamloops Blaze, 2-1, to get off to a great start.
Brette Kerley and Bailey Hutton scored the goals and Brityn Hinsche was named game MVP.
In game two the girls fought to a 0-0 tie against a very strong Kelowna United team.
A very evenly-fought defensive game where Brooke Levens was named game MVP.
In game three the girls got off to a slow start and were down 2-0 before Hinsche and Kerley scored very late goals to earn a 2-2 tie.
Ariel Veitch was named game MVP.
In the team’s fourth and final game against Kelowna Dynamite ended up 1-1 with Kelowna being awarded a very late penalty shot to tie the game. Jaded-Rae Meldrum scored the Williams Lake goal and Pyper Alexander was named game MVP.
Hinsche and Tayla Pitt shared the goal keeping duties and both played very well in net all through the tourney and every other player worked very hard and played well to earn a third place finish in a very competitive division.
