The bull riders at the 45th annual Quesnel BCRA Rodeo had high hopes on arrival at the rodeo this past weekend but as each rider nodded for the gate and gave every effort possible in the attempt to stick with a C+ Rodeo bucking bull for the required eight seconds.

In the end, they were all unsuccessful in the quest to conquer the C+ bovine bucking-stars. The pen of bulls was outstanding and un-rideable, with not one single qualified ride made at one of the highest paying BCRA rodeos of the season.

The Quesnel rodeo fans were treated to quite a show as some of the bull riders were ejected in spectacular fashion. Justin Davis of Riske Creek was launched by Top Shelf mid-way through a valiant attempt to last the required eight seconds; disappointment, frustration and a face full of dirt were his only reward.
