The Williams Lake Stampeders 2011/12 regular season schedule is now posted on the team’s website.
The schedule, found under the “Games” menu at the top of the page, can be viewed at www.williamslakestampeders.com.
The Williams Lake Stampeders, who are members of the Central Interior Hockey League, will play their first home game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 1 against the expansion Lac La Hache Tomahawks.
The first game against former Cariboo Hockey League rivals, the Quesnel Kangaroos, will be on Oct. 22 in Williams Lake.
The Stampeders are slated for an 18-game schedule with four games versus each the Lac La Hache Tomahawks, the Quesnel Kangaroos and the Omineca Ice and two games each against the Hazelton Wolverines, Smithers Steelheads and Houston Luckies.
The team is also holding tryouts for the 2011/12 season for interested players beginning this September.
Tryout sessions will be every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month of September, with all players required to pay a $50 non-refundable tryout fee.
Time of each evening tryout sessions is to be announced, but will likely be from 9 to 10:30 p.m. each evening, as per last season.
