The Williams Lake Stampeders hosted its annual dinner and awards banquet Saturday evening at Signal Point Restaurant where players were honoured for their accomplishments both on and off the ice.
First were the Fan’s Choice Awards where team fans on social media were able to vote.
The Biggest Gongshow award went to Dylan Richardson, HomeTown Hero was won by Kurtis Bond, Favourite Shot Stopper (goalie or defence) went to Aaron Zurak, Best Newcomer was Zach Sternberg, Sickest Sniper was Nathan Zurak and Most Valuable Player went to goaltender Justin Foote.
Next up were the team awards, voted on by the team.
Caleb Roy took home Offensive Defenceman, Dan Cohen was Most Improved and Top Defenceman, Plugger went to Darcy Flaherty, Top Forward was Jassi Sangha, Most Dedicated was Matt Brenner and, lastly, Most Valuable Player was won by Andrew Fisher.
