Several Shogun Martial Arts Academy students attended the World Karate and Kickboxing Council’s National Karate Championships over the May long weekend in Ottawa. Students (back from left) Bradley Clearwater, 9, Briana Fisch, 11, Joshua Rutherford, 12, Daniel Rutherford, 9, (front from left) Raiden Lainchbury, 6, and Macy Lainchbury, 9, were some who attended the event. Shogun has nine students who will represent Canada’s national team in Spain at the WKC World Championships in November, based off their performance at nationals.
