Two golfers marched away with prestigious green jackets from this year’s annual Green Jacket Golf Tournament at Fireman’s Fairways at Chimney Lake.
Karen Carter and Steve Margetts were this year’s winners, who both shot low scores in their respective divisions on Sept. 8 to claim the jackets.

“Thanks to all the support from the community sponsors and the volunteers for putting on another successful [event],” said organizer Dwayne ‘Rusty’ Rustemeyer.
Rustemeyer said although the number of participants was down this year, the tournament was a success and full of good times.
“Prizes were donated from local sponsors and their support was greatly appreciated,” he said.
“We look forward to seeing everyone next year in August.”
