Plenty of Halloween-themed events coming up at rec complex

There will be plenty of spooks to be had this month at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex with multiple Halloween-themed events.

There will be plenty of spooks to be had this month at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex with multiple Halloween-themed events.

On Thursday, Oct. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. there will be a Tween Halloween Howl Swim, followed by a Halloween Howl Family Swim on Friday, Oct. 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Also on Saturday, Oct. 21 there will be a Toonie Skate from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., plus another Lions Club Free Family Skate on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 30 the city is hosting a Hotel Transylvania Skate from 1 to 4:15 p.m.

Capping off the Halloween events in the city will be the annual Halloween Bonfire and Fireworks on Monday, Oct. 31. The bonfire lights up at 7:15 p.m. with the fireworks to follow at 7:45 p.m. There will be hotdogs, hot chocolate and coffee available by donation by the Lions Club.
