Lakers Show and Shine sets record

This year’s 18th Annual Lakers Car Club Show and Shine featured 240 cars — a record number of participants for the club.

Tim Giesbrecht's 1970 Plymouth Cuda, shown here, was a popular sight at the show.

Saturday, the Lakers Car Club hosted a poker run, a barbecue at the Stampede Grounds, and visited Thunder Mountain Speedway for a few laps around the track in front of a well-attended opening night of racing.
