Lake City Collision now has sole possession of the top spot in the Williams Lake Super League of Curling.
It was a low-scoring 4-3 affair Tuesday evening until the final end, when Purdy’s tried to protect a shot on the button but missed the guard and Lake City Collision made the perfect angle raise bump to take two and win 6-3.
The win improves Lake City Collision to eight wins and two losses on the season, while Purdy’s slips to four wins and six losses.
In the other games Tim Hortons blasted out of the gates to an early 9-1 lead, then cruised to a 10-5 win against the Williams Lake and District Credit Union, who were tied for the top spot in the league heading into week 10.
The victory was Tim Hortons first of the season improving their record to one win and nine losses. Credit Union’s defeat, meanwhile, drops them to second place in the league with seven wins and three losses.
