Quinten Silva of Chilcotin Road Elementary School, followed by Curtis Roorda of 150 Mile Elementary School, race the 1,000-metre run as Mountview elementary teacher Liselle Pierce cheers them on last Wednesday during School District 27’s annual elementary school track and field meet.
The meet included upwards of 330 students in the district, where schools compete for points in multiple events.
The 1,000-metre run capped off the meet, which began June 10 with multiple events at the Nesika and Columneetza fields. For overall and individual results see a future Tribune/Weekend Advisor as they were not available at press time.
