Fan Appreciation Night rescheduled

Thunder Mountain Speedway’s scheduled June 15 Fan Appreciation Night has been rescheduled.

Thunder Mountain Speedway’s scheduled June 15 Fan Appreciation Night has been rescheduled.

Tim Westwick, president of Thunder Mountain Speedway, said, instead, Fan Appreciation Night will be held this Saturday, June 8.

Time trials in bone stock, pro-mini and street stock classes begins at 5 p.m. with racing commencing at 6 p.m. sharp.

Spectator pricing is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and free for children under the age of 12.

Westwick said the rescheduling occurred so the event wouldn’t conflict with Williams Lake’s high school graduation ceremonies the weekend of June 15.

“It is our Fan Appreciation Night so there will be lots of prizes to be given away, car rides at the intermission for kids of all ages and lots of other fun activities,” Westwick said.

“We would also like to send our congratulations to the graduating class of 2013 and wish them a great grad weekend.”

The first race of the Thunder Mountain points series went May 25 at the local race track and featured the visiting ASA OK Tire Sportsman Series cars. For more visit www.thundermountainspeedway.ca.
