Curlers continue in Super League

Save-On-Foods kept the top spot in the Williams Lake Super League of Curling this week improving to three wins and one loss on the season.

Save-On-Foods kept control of the top spot in the Williams Lake Super League of Curling this week after improving to three wins and one loss on the season.

The rink sailed to a decisive 9-4 victory over PMT Charted Accountants  and caused their slide to one win and three losses to date.

Holding down the second- and third-place spots are Caribou Ski and Credit Union, respectively.

In their match Caribou Ski took command of the game early taking four points in the third end, however, Credit Union continued to chip away taking three points in the fourth end to cruise to a 10-7 victory.

Caribou Ski has two wins and two losses.

The Credit Union currently has two wins and two losses while PMT Chartered Accountants sits with one win and three losses.

The next action in the WLSLC is Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The Williams Lake Curling Club is also hosting a Thursday afternoon stick league beginning at 2 p.m.

Additionally, Friday morning drop-ins go at 10 a.m. at the local club.

The cost is $5 for Thursday’s stick league and $6 for Friday’s drop-in.
