The Coy Cup senior men's 'AA' provincial hockey championship begins tonight in Williams Lake at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.

The four-team tournament kicks off at 5 p.m. with the Terrace River Kings meeting the 2014 Central Interior Hockey League champions, the Smithers Steelheads.

The defending Coy Cup champion Williams Lake Stampeders, following an opening ceremony at 7:30 p.m. that will honour and recognize Stampeders' alumni, then face the Fort Nelson Yeti at 8 p.m.

The tournament continues all week long with games at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday (March 11), Wednesday and Thursday, with the semifinal going Friday at 8 p.m., followed by the tournament final Saturday, March 15, at 8 p.m.

The Stampeders play the loser of Terrace and Smithers Wednesday night at 8 p.m., before taking on the winner Thursday at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the tournament are available at Chuck's Auto Supplies and Margetts Meats, and from the ticket booth after 5:30 p.m. throughout the event.
