A new summer promotion by the city is hoping to encourage children and youth to participate in drop-in fitness and swim programs at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
The Youth Summer Pass will come into effect during the school summer vacation period between June 26 through to Aug. 28 for the price of $25, tax included.
The non-resident rate for the same timeframe will be $30 and there will be no discounts on the 2016 summer youth pass.
“This initiative will enhance the physical and social opportunities for children and youth in the entire regional district,” said Stacey Miranda, manager of recreation with the City of Williams Lake.
“The Youth Summer Pass program supports the over-reaching goal of increasing active participation and creativity, enhancing community capacity and reducing economic barriers to participation in activities at the CMRC.”
The pass supports the city’s commitment of providing a wide range of recreation programs and opportunities for residents addressing community health, wellness and quality of life.
Passes are on sale now at the CMRC.
