Williams Lake’s Terris Billyboy competes in the barrel racing event during the 66th Annual Kispiox Valley Rodeo June 1-2.

150 Mile House’s Wade McNolty picked up a pair of runner-up finishes — the first in the tie-down roping event and the second in steer wrestling.

McNolty scored a time of 22 seconds flat in tie-down roping before posting a fast 7.9-second time in steer wrestling.

Other local results included Callie Hume of Williams Lake who scored a time of 16.302 seconds to take first place in the junior barrel racing event.

Finally, in pee wee barrel racing, Williams Lake’s Brianna Billy placed third in 18.466 seconds.

Coming up this weekend on the B.C. Rodeo Association circuit is the 52nd Ashcroft and District Stampede.
