The CNC Regional Championships kicked off at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex in Williams Lake Friday with a fun event to welcome skaters from around the region.

"We are having a jamboree this afternoon with four teams made up of a variety of skaters," said Williams Lake Skating Club's Courtney Jones.

WLSC head coach Joanne Macnair said her skaters have been working hard since the fall practicing their routines as she invited anyone in the community interested to come out and show their support this weekend, Jan. 20-22, at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
