With Williams Lake’s Kayla Moleschi (centre) playing a lead role, Canada’s Women’s Sevens rugby team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Dubai Sevens after finishing a perfect 3-0 on day one, the opening leg of the 2016/17 HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series.
Canada beat Brazil (26-19), Spain (27-7) and England (24-12). Moleschi scored three tries for Canada on the day. Canada will now face off against Russia on Dec. 2 starting at 9:22 p.m. PST.
