Three provincial corps participated in an inter-divisional Seamanship Competition Saturday at the Williams Lake Secondary School gym.

Competing corps included Smithers, Prince George and Williams Lake.

Cadets were evaluated individually and as a team on various topics including sheer leg construction, knot tying, coiling and heaving a line and boatswain’s pipe.

After a long day of competition the 202 Chilcotin Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps from Williams Lake emerged as the victors.

For their efforts the Williams Lake corp has now advanced to the provincial competition being held in Victoria in March.

Finishing in second place was Prince George, followed by Smithers in third place.
