Blue Fins hosting large prize draw this Saturday

The Williams Lake Blue Fins Swim Club’s fun Christmas swim meet Sunday saw 65 of its swimmers make a splash.

The Williams Lake Blue Fins Swim Club’s fun Christmas swim meet Sunday saw 65 of its swimmers make a splash in the Sam Ketcham Memorial Pool.

For 25 of the club’s members, it was their first swim meet ever, said Blue Fins head coach Chad Webb.

“It was awesome to see the older, more experienced swimmers helping and leading the younger ones,” Webb said.

This Saturday the Blue Fins, who have been selling Christmas Trees and will continue to sell trees each week leading up to Christmas at Canadian Tire, are hosting a large prize draw for a 48” 4K smart TV donated by Canadian Tire.

“If you buy a tree [Saturday] your name goes into a draw for the prize,” he said. “We will have hot chocolate available and a stop by from Santa Claus.”
