The Williams Lake Bantam Timberwolves hosted a four-team icebreaker tournament in the lakecity and finished with one win, one tie and two losses.
In game one the T-wolves fell 5-1 to Prince George with Pacey Boomer (pictured, left) scoring the lone tally on an assist from Jaxen Carson.
Next, Williams Lake took on Vanderhoof and skated to a 4-3 victory. Dylan Telford (2), Sam Powers and Evan Pigeon found twine for the Timberwolves in the contest.
In game three Quesnel took the win with a 7-2 score. Jace Myers and Powers scored for Williams Lake.
Game four saw Williams Lake and Vanderhoof skate to a 5-5 tie with Carson, Sam Chabot, Telford, Myers and Malakai Andy lighting the lamp for the lakecity.
The team’s regular season starts on Oct. 1 with league games in Quesnel.
