The Williams Lake Bantam Rep Timberwolves advanced to the provincial finals in Kelowna following two decisive wins over Prince George on Friday and Saturday.
Game one saw the T-wolves dominate in every aspect of the game to end up with a 6-0 win. The T-wolves played solid defence and limited the Cougars to just a handful of scoring chances throughout the entire game, while Williams Lake’s offence continually peppered the Prince George netminder.
In game two Saturday the T-wolves knew they needed just one win to advance to provincials and came out hard from the first whistle. Williams Lake, again, controlled the pace of the game, winning 5-1.
With the wins Williams Lake now advances to the provincial finals from March 16-22 in Kelowna where they will look to cap their season with a strong showing.
Additionally, the Williams Lake Midget Tier 2 Timberwolves picked up their first two wins over Prince George on the weekend to earn a provincial berth.
