Cariboo Archers joined roughly 200 other shooters in Kamloops during the weekend for the Kamloops Target Sports Association 3D Archery Shoot.

Five local archers once again showed they can compete with the best.

In only his second year of shooting, Adam Lyons finished fifth in the hotly-contested men’s unlimited category, while perennial contender, Lee Jackman, won the silver medal in the same division.

Jackman also hit the tiny spot during the regular shoot and then won the shoot off for all the cash.

Dan Mobbs, meanwhile, proved why he shoots for Team Canada as he won the recurve category by 72 points and narrowly lost the shoot out for the spot money.

Danny Cooper and Al Campsall each dominated their categories and posted the top scores of all men in the shoot with Campsall narrowly edging Cooper for bragging rights.

Both won gold in their respective men’s open and masters open categories.

The Cariboo Archers big fun shoot happens on May 14-15. All archers, regardless of skill level, are welcome.
