Chess in Williams Lake has been revived, said one of the Williams Lake Chess Club organizers, Scott Richardson.
“The chess club is thriving,” Richardson said. “New players young and old are showing up weekly.”
Richardson’s son, Kai, who competes internationally at tournaments, has been giving lessons at Chilcotin Road elementary, along with teaching any group that wants to learn the game.
The chess club meets in the Williams Lake Library on Wednesdays at 3 p.m.
