On Aug. 1, there was a dedication of the old Stobie Lake Game Warden Cabin, which was recently moved to the 108 Heritage Site. Several dignitaries were on hand for the celebration, including 100 Mile House Conservation Officer (CO) James Zucchelli, left, Thompson Cariboo Region Insp. Len Butler, Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett, Pioneer Log Homes’ owner Brian Reid Sr., 100 Mile & District Historical Society president Ulli Vogler, Williams Lake CO Darrell Ashworth, local artist Joanne Young, who painted the mementoes for Reid and Ashworth who were instrumental in the moving and repairing the cabin, and CO historian Gerry Lister in the background.
