It was a beautiful blue-sky day, with lots of red to complement the greenery in Boitanio Park for the annual Canada Day celebrations.
Instead of traditional cake, this year volunteers including Chief Ann Louie (left) joined Mayor Kerry Cook and other volunteers in handing out cupcakes festooned with red and white swirls of icing.
