Use caution on the roads

Surprise, surprise.

Surprise, surprise.

It’s supposed to snow more this week.

My neck and back are still feeling the strain of tension from driving through the snowy and slippery roads caused by winter’s wrath last week and I am not looking forward to another nerve-racking drive home.

Some think the City and Interior Roads are doing a great job removing snow from the roads; others do not.

I am not going pick a side on this issue but am instead asking all motorists to use caution when driving.

Keep your distance from the vehicle in front of you. Do you really think you’ll get there any faster by being inches away from the guy ahead of you? Is coming home five to 10 minutes late going to ruin your life? I doubt it. What could is unsafe driving that leads to a fatal collision.

I also ask that the City and Interior Roads continue working on keeping the roads as safe as possible. I hope to see lots of trucks removing the snow and lots of sand being added to the slippery sections and corners.

Local residents are no stranger to the Cariboo’s winter, and there is no sense shaking our fists at Mother Nature.

Have a safe ride home!
