Stop carbon-based energy policy before it’s too late

No power on Earth can stop runaway global warming climate change if we pass the looming/dooming tipping point.

No power on Earth can stop runaway global warming climate change if we pass the looming/dooming tipping point.

For our beloved children and grandchildren, listen to Environment Canada, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the World Bank (2012 “Turn Down the Heat!”), 350.org. etc. about this imminent crisis.

Energy demands could be 50  per cent higher by 2030.

Coal, oil, and natural gas provide about 80 per cent of global energy yielding the bulk of CO2e heating the planet (International Energy Agency, 2008).

Projected rapid rise of global temperatures is twice the 2 C ceiling set by 140 nations (2009 United Nations Climate Summit, Copenhagen).

Rising greenhouse gas emissions within this decade means the 2 C is arguably impossible to achieve.

IPCC report warns global inaction could make climate change impossible to reverse(1/17/14).

Global temperatures could soar to 4 C by the 2060’s (IEA 2008, World Bank 2012 “Why 4 C Must be Avoided”).

Patently unsustainable is a 6 C-plus planet (IEA, 2008).

Environment Canada desired raising Canadian scientific literacy about impacts of fossil-fuel consumption linked to global warming.

Environment Canada proposed our nation publicly recognize IPCC’s September 2013 report that global warming climate change is mostly human caused.

Wealth derived from marketing fossil-fuel production, distribution, and consumption threatens the future of mankind.

Leona Aglukkaq, Federal Environment`Minister, rejected Environment Canada’s proposal (Sept. 27, 2013).

A day is a span of time no one is wealthy enough to waste.

This applies to wasting and/or destroying others: ourselves and/or the people of other nations in a democratic world.

Marketing Canadian fossil-fuels for expanded global consumption actually expands global greenhouse gases.

Pretence makes tar-sand development difficult to stop and more difficult to fix.

Pretence allows our nation to do what it should not be doing.

Pretence affects the very existence of our human communities.

Refuse global genocide.

Vital is literacy of peer-reviewed scientifically researched cause of climate change (97 per cent consensus).

Our nation’s carbon based greenhouse gas energy policy can be stopped.
