It is with terrible sadness that I have been told that one of our rarest species in Canada, the badger, has been thoughtlessly killed by a bow-hunter.
This precious species which is critically endangered with less than 300 individuals in the province is on the brink of extinction here and thanks to this heinous act will no longer be able to feed her babies or reproduce ever again.
I have reported this to our local conservation officer and hope the appropriate consequences will be forth-coming.
Please give our precious wild-life the protection it needs.
