As the president of the Cariboo Chilcotin Metis Association, I want to say what a huge success the third annual Metis Jamboree was and how enjoyed it was by a lot of people.

I would like to send a huge basket of roses to Dawna Short, Marlene Swears, Arnold and Wayne Lucier and Alex Norquay for all their hard work preparing for and during the jamboree.

Thank you to all of our local sponsors and businesses for making it possible and the McLeese Lake community whose hall we used.

To all our musicians and Paul Maas, thank you.

The music was fantastic.

Also, a big thank you to all volunteers involved and our kitchen staff, you did an amazing job.

Lastly, thank you to the Soda Creek Indian Band whose traditional territory our festival was held on.

To everyone who attended, thank you and we hope you enjoyed the third annual Metis Jamobree.

Hope to see you again next year.
