Ignoring science a recipe for local and global disaster

Are Joe Oliver, Stephen Harper, Peter Kent, Alison Redford, Terry Lake, Christy Clark, etc. biased in their representation in Canada?

Are Joe Oliver, Stephen Harper, Peter Kent, Alison Redford, Terry Lake, Christy Clark, etc. biased in their representation in Canada?

Harper already cut the federal environmental assessment budget by over 40 per cent. Oliver attacks Canada’s federal regulatory process. Do they favour the rich who finance their campaigns?

Where money counts, are the poor effectively dispossessed … the middle class deceived?

Does money manufacture public content permitting Canada’s “legal” withdrawal for the Kyoto protocols?

Could democracy be an impediment to oligarchy and plutocracy … even proroguing Parliament? Do they “want/wish” democratic regulatory reviews for major projects “streamlined” and “fast tracked” by minimizing or by passing an adequate environmental assessment review process?

Is double talking money playing the patriotic Canadian national interest card promoting deregulation for disaster capitalism … disinformation against democratic social, economic, and political equality?

Will Canadian fossil fuels … oil, coal, and gas developments add to our greenhouse gas emissions … even if burnt in India, U.S. and China?  Are we besieged by relentless public manipulation for disguising the fossil fuel damages to our local and global society?

Will unfettered greenhouse gases reach deadly levels for all life on Earth within this century? Could 2016 be the door closing to avoid runaway GHGs? Do we only have a ridiculous five years for effective climate action? Earth is our only home.

Does wealth beget power and power beget wealth? Is this pathological wealth? Will it destroy our democracy?

Do we still abhor dictators? Among the 99 per cent, must enough awaken to “fast tracked” disastrous consequence?

Science attempts to create rational knowledge.  Peer reviews rationally corrects errors or fraud in science. Will this method, along with common compassion, preserve democracy and sustain civilized life for all? Must we take heed of rational science and good common morals now?

Terry Lake says economic development must trump science. Is that a recipe for local and global disaster?
