I don’t know if this is for real or a late April Fool’s joke gone bad but the name makes Gordon Campbell’s “Heart Land” sound positively brilliant.
If the city paid for the development of this name/logo … ouch.
Have they heard of the “Emperor with No Clothes” or “The Music Man?” My gut tells me this is not a good fit for this community.
What are all these committees for which each councillor is attached? The company should be told to go back to the drawing board or, better yet, save some money and form a concerned citizens’ group for advising on this matter.
It will contain people who have a vested interest in and feel for this community.
Also, if they want some money for a further study, the city council should apply to the Liberal government before they hand all their money out. It will be good until at least the middle of May.
Republic of anything sounds too south of the 49th parallel for this cowboy, and I’m not much of a cowboy.
