1,000 families for B.C. children and teens

As a proud mother and grandmother, I cannot express the love, joy and fulfilment that children bring to my family.

As a proud mother and grandmother, I cannot express the love, joy and fulfilment that children bring to my family.

All children need the love and security of a caring family, but not every child has this.

Adoption is about a deep, lifelong commitment to making a difference in a child’s life in a supportive, loving family environment.

Throughout November, British Columbia celebrates Adoption Awareness Month to acknowledge the many families created through adoption and bring attention to children and youth who are still waiting to join a loving, permanent family.

There are more than 1,000 children waiting to find stability and care of an adoptive family in B.C, including teenagers, those with special needs and others with siblings.

That’s why we’ve partnered with B.C.’s Representative for Children and Youth and the Adoptive Families Association of BC to find adoptive families by launching a month long campaign called 1000 Families BC to connect through online advertising, tweets and Facebook posts.

If you’re looking to build your family, visit www.1000familiesbc.com or call 1-877-ADOPT-07 for more information.

I am thankful to all the adoptive families who currently provide the emotional, physical and financial stability that all children deserve.

That’s why I am confident that there is a perfect family somewhere in B.C. who will love and support children and youth in need.
