August 21, 1940 - July 18, 2018
Winston Thomas Mackay passed away peacefully July 18, 2018 at the Deni House. Winston was born August 21, 1940 in Sintaluta, Saskatchewan. They have lived in several different places, they moved to BC 1945. In 1967 Winston had met the love of his life Mary Alice Roberta Robertson and were married in 1967. They had moved to Williams Lake in 1978 and purchased a small farm in Soda Creek, BC. He worked at Gibraltar Mines for 25 years, after he retired he became well known as the Fruit Man at Beaver Valley Feeds, also known as Whinny and the old fella.

Mary his (wife) had passed away June 2004. Winston at that time decided to sell the farm and move to town as he found it very lonely being there without her. He loved fishing, camping and telling stories to all of his friends which he considered as family. Mary and Winston had no children of there own, but he always said he had lots. He will be well missed by many.

Predeceased by wife Mary, parents, brothers Sherwin, Jim, sister Peggy Janzen, nephew Stephen. Survived by sister Lee Berg, Powell River, BC and sister in-law Marlene Mackay, Agassiz, BC. Also many several nieces and nephews.

Out of respect of Winston there will be no funeral service. As he would say farewell for now until we meet again at the big gate. Love Winston Thomas Mackay.
