In Loving Memory ~

September 2023, Bill and his family received the devastating diagnosis of an aggressive form of brain cancer. After undergoing two brain surgeries, cancer treatment, and multiple infections Bill fought right to the end when he passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones the evening of February 5th, 2024.

Bill was born March 9th, 1960 in Gander, Newfoundland, the son of Don and Theresa Sigsworth. His fathers work moved the family many places including Halifax NS, Puntzi Lake BC, Wembley AB, Beaverlodge AB, and Prince George BC.

In 1970 the family made their final move to Williams Lake where Bill attended school prior to joining the Canadian Armed Forces. The Armed Forces brought Bill many places including Lahr, Germany where he met his wife Melody. Soon after meeting, Bill and Melody married May 26th, 1984 in Comox, BC. Bill served the Canadian Armed Forces for 28 years, and during this time he welcomed 10 children.

After retiring from the Armed Forces in 2007, Bill and his family settled in Williams Lake where they welcomed their 11th and final child.

Bill spent 16 years serving the community as a renown plumber at Burgess Plumbing Heating and Electrical. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed being outdoors either fishing, quadding, camping, or spending weekends at the cabin with his family. He could always be found with a can of diet coke and a pack of cigarettes.

Bill is predeceased by both his parents as well as his daughter Evangelina.

He is survived by his wife Melody, his children Courtney (Chris), April (Matt), Nicole, Mercedes, Savannah, Houston, Harmony, Lincoln, Phoenix, Preston, his grandchildren Aerith, Dayton, Peyton, Nora, Dakota, Parker, Dean, Greyleigh, Elliott, Gracie, and his many grandpups.

As per Bill's wishes there will be no service, and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion-Branch 139 in his memory.

Lord, we thank you for the cherished memories of our father and the love he poured into our lives. We are grateful for the time we had with him, and we will always cherish the moments we shared. As we mourn his passing, we pray that we may honour him by living our lives in a way that would make him proud.
