February 16, 1945 - November 13, 2023

In loving memory ~

Born on February 16, 1945.

Died on November 13, 2023, in Agassiz at age 78 from pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia, son Harvey Janzen (Gen), daughter Shelley Rispin (Mike), grandchildren Brandon, Melissa B, Bryan, Christopher, Mitch, Melissa R, Fern, Derek, twin sister Marjorie, brother Rick (Greta), sister-in-law Yvonne, his great-grandchildren, and numerous other extended family as well as his beloved dog Bella.

He is predeceased by his brother Edward, and sister-in-law Faye, his brother-in-law Fred, and his parents, Isaac and Mary (nee Hamm) Janzen.

Bill was born in Abbotsford and moved to Williams Lake in 1972. Later, he purchased a property in Chimney Valley, where he built his own home in 1980 and raised his family. He relocated to Agassiz after retirement. Bill worked for 33 years at Finning in Williams Lake as a heavy-duty mechanic, where he was respected and liked by his coworkers. He was a hard worker who had a mild manner, dry humour, and a quiet, easy-going nature that endeared him to all.

Bill enjoyed his children and grandchildren, reading, and spending time outdoors. You could quite often find him out in the "back 10" walking with his dogs, out in the yard puttering, or in his garden. Fishing and camping with his family was also something he enjoyed and passed this on to his children.

Bill will be greatly missed.

We ask that any memorial donations be made to your local hospice society.
