William (Bill) Grant, born May 14, 1941 in Virden Manitoba passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2022 at the age of 81. Bill is survived by his wife of 55yrs Laura Grant; his children Kathy (Brian) Hansen, Mark (Angela) Grant, and Michael (Marnie) Grant; his grandchildren Colby, Vanessa, Justin, Ryan, Evan, Jadyn, and Aliya and his great-grandchildren Brooke and Austin.
After graduating high school, he enlisted into the Royal Canadian Air Force before moving to Prince George in 1965 where he met his wife Laura. He and Laura welcomed their three children there before eventually settling down in Williams Lake in 1977 where he spent close to 30yrsworking as the driving examiner, a job he loved and reminisced about often. After retiring from this job, he spent time working at the Williams Lake airport and driving a taxi which allowed him to connect with countless people and touch so many lives.
Bill was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an adoring Papa. He was passionate about his sports.... Go Blue Bombers! Bill enjoyed his time serving as a member of the Knights of Columbus for 40yrs. His creative side was always put to work with gardening and projects he created around the house. He was a kind man who could spark a conversation with anybody and have them laughing by the end of it.
He will be missed deeply by family and friends
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on June 4th at the Sacred Heart Catholic church.
