September 10, 1928 - July 21, 2018
Born September 10, 1928 in Prince George, BC Passed away July 22, 2018 in Williams Lake, BC

Our beautiful mom, Willi (Willetta) Blair passed away July 22, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, Cliff and Mary Ann McIntosh; mother-in-law and father-in- law Janet and Robert (Bob) Blair; younger brother and sister-in-law Alan and Eileen McIntosh, brothers-in-law Alan Blair, Ramsay Blair; sisters-in-law Avril Blair and Joy Blair; her loving husband of 57 years Jim Blair; and baby grandson Austin James Rempel.

Willi leaves behind her dear sister Marj Blair; sister-in-law Iris Blair; brother-in-law Robin Blair; son Bob Blair; daughter Carrie (Dave) Belcher; daughter Heather Blair-Rempel; grandchildren Aaron Blair; Noah, Madeline and Julie Rempel; and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Willi grew up in Kimberly, BC and moved to Williams Lake in 1947 when her dad opened a mill with his brother at Timothy Lake. She met her husband Jim Blair and they married in August of 1951. They had their first child, Bob later that year; they adopted Carrie in 1963 and Heather was born in 1969.

Mom lived a full life of family and friends. She was a lover of many genres of music and grew up playing classical piano, coming from a musical family. Mom loved knitting, reading and doing cross-word and search- word puzzles.

Friends and family were very important to her. If you were a friend of Willi's you were a friend for life. She loved laughing, visiting over a cup of coffee and she always had a listening ear- no matter what. She would drop what she was doing if you needed to talk or if you needed a hug.

Mom loved baking, cooking and home preserves. There was always plenty of extra homemade bread, cookies or canning to share. Mom was a kind, loving and sweet person. The older she got, the sweeter she became. We will most certainly miss her daily phone calls to us kids, "just because".

Mom knew how to enjoy each day and was, without trying or maybe even knowing, spreading love and joy to all she knew. She had a positive attitude and didn't let much around her get her down.

We are grateful to the staff at Williams Lake Seniors Village, where mom spent her last few years. Thank you for caring for our mom with compassion and grace. A celebration of life and light lunch will be held Saturday, September 8 (just 2 days shy of her 90th birthday) at ll:00am, at the St. Andrews United Church in Williams Lake.
