Wilfred Wright

In loving memory ~

With great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad Wilfred Mathers Wright. A true Cariboo original and renaissance man. The Wright family were overlanders and early settlers of the Cariboo starting in 1862 and by 1864/65 started in the Cattle Ranching Business to supply beef to miner's in Barkerville. Dad cowboyed and ranched, logged and trucked and mined underground and surface in Diamond drilling.

He was an amazing artist with old Cariboo ranching and history being preferred subject as well as a talented Singer and Musician playing multiple instruments.

Dad was predeceased by his father Ernie, sister Joan, mother Enid, and post deceased by sister Barb. Survived by daughter Jessica (Greg), son Clancy (Debbie), son Chris, ex-wife and mother of his children as well as good friend Dianne, granddaughters Christine and Emma, cousin/ lifelong friend Don Wright (Ginny) and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and ex brother-in-law/ friend Kelly.

The family will be having a celebration of life in May at Lac La Hache for our Dad. Saturday, May 3rd at 2.00 pm at the Lac La Hache OAPO Senior Centre.
