Wendell David Conrod
September 19, 1943 - September 20, 2011
It is with sadness that the family of Wendell David Conrod announces his passing on September 20, 2011 after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 68 years.
Wendell is lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Hilda, his children: Sonia, Gail, Tammy, Wayne, Corrine and Wendy, his nine grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also remembered by his mother Vera and sister, Beverly, godmother, Golda Oakey and goddaughter, Karen all of Nova Scotia as well as his best buds Amigo and Bandit who stayed by his side 24/7.
A memorial service will be held on October 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Compassionate Care Funerals, 180 Comer Street, Williams Lake with refreshments following the service. Wendell will be inurned on October 8, 2011 in Nova Scotia alongside is dad, Aubrey and brother, Ross.
A special thank you to Sandy and Ben for always being there, a very special thank you to Braden for being so strong beside Grandpa right to the end and to David Wilson for being a great friend and his guide through his final trip.
