In loving memory ~
1954-2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Douglas Evans on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Wayne was born and raised in Williams Lake and was the youngest son of Jim and Irene Evans.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda, and their two daughters Crystal (RJ Brereton) and Ashley (Kyle Williston). He will also be forever cherished and remembered by his four grandchildren: Treyson, Brooke, Kane and Cruz. Wayne is also survived by his brother Randy (Roxanne). Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Irene Evans.
Wayne began his career as a heavy-duty mechanic, working for Jacobson Brothers Forest Products. In 1977, he joined Peterson Contracting, where he discovered his passion for running heavy-duty equipment. His love of his career kept him at Peterson Contracting for 47 years, a testament to his dedication and hard work.
Wayne loved spending quality time with family and friends and was a loyal NASCAR fan for many years. He lived a full life, cherishing his family and friends above all else. Wayne was extremely proud of his two daughters and took great joy in watching his four grandchildren grow.
He will be remembered for his deep love of his family. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
