July 17, 1933 - August 14, 2019
Jim passed away peacefully on August 14, 2019 with family by his side. Born July 17, 1933 in Weyburn Saskatchewan, Jim was the fourth child born to Walter and Clara Parkhill.
Jim will be sadly missed by his wife Roberta Edgington, children Chris (Amy) Parkhill, Wendy Parkhill, Lea (Brent Brooks) Vadnais, Donna (Bob) McIntosh, Valerie (John) Osepiuk, Don (Peggy) Edgington, Ron (Mary) Edgington and Stan (Yvonne) Edgington, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also left to mourn Jim are his four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents.
Dad's careers included seismic, construction and driving truck which he continued well into retirement.
Jim had many interests that occupied his time outside of work including reading, movies and music. Dad could recall many facts he'd learned over the years and enjoyed sharing them. Dad had a soft spot in his heart for animals and through the years cared for his dogs, cats and the birds that came to visit their acreage.
Jim had a very dry sense of humor and loved to laugh. His cheeky grin was a sure sign he was up to something and his quick wit will be missed by all.
