It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wally on August 6th, 2019. Wally passed away peacefully at home with loved ones by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Wally was born on January 17th, 1954 in Smith, AB, and the youngest of 4 children. There he met his high school sweetheart, Terry Moberg. In 1973 they celebrated the birth of their daughter Brandy and a year later they married and moved to Williams Lake, BC. In 1980 they celebrated the birth of their second daughter Lacey.
Wally worked at Lignum Ltd and then West Fraser Plywood for 45 years until his retirement this year on May 1st, 2019. Over the years he formed great friendships with co-workers and spent many hours in the lunch room playing crib and sharing laughs.
Wally was a devoted family man and had six grandchildren whom he adored. He was very involved in all of their activities from figure skating to hockey and soccer. He was so much fun to be around, he loved to laugh and have fun and his family adored him.
Wally will be greatly missed but forever loved and remembered by his wife Terry, daughters Brandy (Shawn Masters), and Lacey (Jared Kohlen), grandchildren, Connor, Brooklyn, Paris Masters and Luke, Chace, Miles Kohlen, also by his siblings Helen Hunchak (Nick), Irene Geddes (Dave), and Johnny Nasuszny (Gladys) as well as numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.
