In memory of our "SUPER HERO"
Wallace lived unselfishly with quiet-dignity, grace & humility
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wallace John Rich (husband, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle). Wally passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends at home.
Wally was born in Williams Lake, BC. The outdoors, in the Cariboo and Yukon was his playground. Climbing mountains, hunting, fishing and boating trips down rivers and lakes to find adventure.
Wally was blessed with two wonderful sons, Jeffery, and Harley Rich.
Before Wally was diagnosed with his illness, he found his soul mate - Linda Barbondy (Rich). They shared their years together traveling, with family, working and playing - creating a home that was filled with laughter and love.
Wally is predeceased by his (mother) Delores Madsen & Nels Madsen, (sister) June Rich, (father) Ross Rich. He leaves behind his wife and soul mate Linda Barbondy Rich; Sons Jeffery and Harley Rich; (blended family) Danika Redel, Jessica Bartlett, and Stephanie Pierce. Grandchildren Tyson, Cruz, & Deja Rich, Kaden, Tristen, Josie Place - Austin Redel and Dayne Bartlett - Great grandchild Ava Rich; Sisters and Brothers Mary Rich (Terry), Roy Rich (Bonni) Ken Rich, Hillary Avoledo, Yvonne Funk (Boston).
Numerous nieces and nephews: he touched each of their lives in an amazing way.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Cariboo Memorial Hospital and the palliative workers for all the care given.
And a special thank you to Dr. F. Van Der Merwe.
Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end It simply means -
I will miss you until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Cancer Research.
