June 21, 1923 - June 9, 2021
With regrets, we are sad to announce the passing of Violet May Hunt at 2:15 pm on June 9th, 2021.
Violet was born on June 21st, 1923 in London, Ontario. Mom moved to British Columbia in 1953 with husband Mel and their children. The long journey saw them reach Williams Lake in July of 1953. Mom was mother to four children: Lawana, Alan, Gary and Jesse.
As time went on they were drawn to Meldrum Creek, a parcel of land was eventually purchased and Meldrum Creek became home for the Hunt Family for years to come. As the children grew, Mom moved to Williams Lake where she worked at Cariboo Memorial Hospital and eventually spent a good number of years employed by School District 27.
Mom worked hard, was very healthy and always made her children come first. Mom would have turned 98 on June 21st, 2021. She had lots of friends in the Cariboo and never had an enemy in her life.
Mom will be dearly missed by her children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom says so long and thanks for the memories...
